Common Questions

Do I have a case?

It happened at work

Employers and organizations can be held legally responsible, even if the individual perpetrator has no assets to pursue.

I waited a long time to come forward

Massachusetts has specific provisions for sexual assault cases. Time limits may be longer than you think.

The person was never criminally charged

Civil cases use a lower standard of proof than criminal court. A lack of criminal charges does not prevent a civil claim.

The person who hurt me has no money

We pursue the institutions that enabled or ignored what happened (employers, schools, churches, nursing homes, landlords) which often carry significant insurance coverage specifically for these claims.

I'm not sure if what happened to me qualifies

If someone violated your body, your privacy, or your trust, it may qualify. We represent survivors of rape, voyeurism, unwanted touching, stalking, workplace harassment, and sex trafficking. If you're unsure, reach out.
